Features, Bugs, & Revisions Update


New Features:
  1. Trading with another player is now done by simply clicking the other player, or by doing /trade <player.name>.
  2. All blocks and items have descriptions, listing where it's likely found to generate, what tool to use, if silk touch is required, and any additional info. (I had to look up each item/block, so make good use of this feature xD)
  3. Automatic turrets are being implemented. They feed off a chest placed near them filled with ammo such as arrows, fire charges, & snowballs.
  4. A crafting table like in the Xbox edition or PE version has been implemented. It lists all available recipes in a table, then allows you to click them and it crafts it for you.
  5. The obvious /sethome & /home have been added. Sorry guys xD.
  6. The other obvious /rules command has been added and stocked with rules(Not too many, I swear).
Revisions:
  1. Ranks will not show up in chat. Rather, they will appear next to your nametag above your head. Town names will still appear in chat.
  2. The server plugin list will no longer be accessible. Safety reasons :).
Bug Fixes:
  1. The reload bug + login system has been supposedly fixed, although it glitched out just now...

Beta Release

The beta release will be on July 10th. Preferably all bugs will have been sorted out by then and the overworld will be complete and ready to use.

Of course, new features will be added, and minor bugs fixed, but the new features will be as bug-free as we can make them since we will test them out before releasing them.


So to summarize: the server will stay down until July 10th, it will go back up at 6pm, and there will be no more bugs(hopefully).


As a sidenote, I am re-scripting the entire ranking system. The current one wasn't very flexible and was limited. The new system will compose of ranks pertaining to individual tools and weapons and will track their use. Rank-ups will award the player with unlocked enchantments and custom commands(that do cool stuff).

Future Planning

Planned minigames are:

  1. A variant of Skywars.
  2. A variant of Survival Games.
  3. Traditional Spleef.
  4. Mob arenas.
  5. Parkour maps.
Planned Gamemodes:
  1. Infinite dungeon crawler mode.
  2. Skyblock/Aether survival mode.
  3. Traditional creative mode.
  4. Easter egg, adventure map mode.

On a more serious note, I am being forced from a home-hosted setup to a cloud-based one. I have exactly 2 weeks (July 20th) to do something with the physical server, be it sell it, or continue using it at a different location, or migrate to a monthly rented server.

As a reminder, all world data will NOT be saved until July 10th. Reason being is I am still adding more to the spawn and also because the rest of the world has bugs, such as deformed trees and tree-less chunks. No it's not supposed to be like that, so I'll be importing the spawn are into the same seed world, only generated correctly.

Server Up!

Seclusive Craft is up! The server is running and you're welcome to join! We prefer premium users, but offline clients are welcomed as well. If you find a bug, please report it to me, I'll be online as either OzOwnz or as a bot testing things out(SCBot###).

Sorry it's up about 20 minutes late, the domain really didn't want to redirect to port 25565. It was up, just not the domain.

Seclusive Craft Launch!

Happy July 5th! We are proud to announce the pre-release of Seclusive Craft. The server will be up at exactly 7:00PM (-8:00 Pacific Time). Joining the server anytime is the next 3 days will grant you $500 in in-game money. Enough to start a town and buy tons of supplies. Think of it as a in-game kickstarter.

The physical server is in place, OS loaded, restart scripts written, MySQL hooked, IP made static, domain bought, and files are being uploaded.

Estimated time for pre-release launch: 7:00PM (-8:00 Pacific Time)

Check back then for the server IP address.

Pre-Release Not Release

Since the server has a small audience currently backing it, I think it's fair to release it in an alpha state. Meaning there will be bugs, there will be downtime, and the player count will be small. Once we feel all the major features have been added, the most crucial bugs fixed and hosting no longer a problem, then it will turn to the beta phase.

 In the beta phase we'll start a Kickstarter campaign to help with the costs of the server and website's premium hosting, we'll add more gamemodes/minigames/features based on popular demand, and implement a feature I want to add that I alone can't create.

As a status update, I have the autoranking mechanism almost complete, the permissions are nearing perfection, and the petshop is on it's way. The spawn is about 85% done, building wise, and 60% done script/NPC wise. The world will have chunk bugs as it's a 1.8 world converted down to 1.7.x. Sorry.

Upvote My Ticket!

The developer accepted my feature request!


HolographicDisplays is a plugin which allows players/staff to create floating messages on the server. I recently sent a ticket to the developer asking him to add a new command so that Denizen can utilize it.

I'm sure it will benefit others if they ever need to remotely create Holograms like I do. If you have 2 seconds to sign into your bukkitdev account and upvote my ticket, I'm sure the developer will be more convinced to make the change.

Major Progress Update #2 Video

First site design.
Well, I was just introduced to the awesome and amazing possibilities of PHP scripts... So the current site design has been scrapped because it isn't cool enough now. Just thought I'd share some screenshots of the previous designs that were going to be the official site... It's going to be awesome, the password/login system will work hand-in-hand with the in-game login system(same password, user, etc).
